They always need wax to add grippiness to their surfboards.

There are a variety of wax types available, the most popular one we have is Sex Wax Quick Humps. In the winter the purple box (cold water) is the ideal for Irish surfers, in the summer they switch to the green box (cool water). There is also the yellow box which is for extra cold conditions or softtop surfboards. If the surfer has a brand new hard surfboard they will need an extra hard wax suited to tropical temperatures that also works really well as a base coat (red or blue box).  We also have wax speicifically designed for softboards from Mrs Palmers.

 

All surfer should be using ear plugs, these are available at a range of price points.

Our most budget friendly options are  Alder's mouldable silicon plugs. Either are ideal for those with a tendancy to lose things. Ear plugs are strongly recommended for surfers and other outdoor water sports enthusiasts in cooler climates like Ireland. 

 

Sachets of resin or wetsuit shampoo.

Repair kits for surfboards come in a wide variety of sizes but the smallest is just a little sachet of UV-cure resin from Phix Doctor which even includes a small piece of sandpaper for finishing off the repair. Alternatively if your surfer has a stinky wetsuit or neoprene accessories you can get a sachet of wetsuit shampoo which will kill any buildup of microbes and disolve any salt to help soften up the neoprene.

 

For the surfer with a vehicle the Sex Wax air freshener is ever popular, the classic coconut scent keeps the surf vibe alive all the time.
