GIFT GUIDE - SPLURGE

Wetsuits

For the junior surfer we recommend a 5/4 or 5/4/3 chest zip or hooded wetsuit and similarly for the women or men.

For a swimmer they may prefer something lighter like a shortie or long sleeved shortie wetsuit. But they will definitely love a change robe for drying off or a cosy waterproof Robie Dry Series.

If you are unsure of the particular brand or design you can always get a Gift Voucher of any value.

Surfboards

For someone just bitten by the surfing bug after a lesson or two we recommend a soft surfboard, we carry a range of sizes from 4ft to 9ft. Our staff are happy to help you figure out which size or style would best suit your novice surfer.

For an experienced surfer we have a wide range of styles and shapes suited for all levels. A mature surfer will usually like to have a longboard (9ft 1" or longer) in their quiver for the small days or a Fish shape board for the less powerful waves on some beaches.

Skateboards

The latest style of skateboard are Surf Skates which behave like a surfers and are ideal for the landlocked surfers or those who want to continue to work on their surf style when there are no waves. We have a lovely range from SmoothStar who are the chosen supplier for the Australian surf team.

We have plenty of the more traditional skateboards too, from the mini retro plastic style from Saltrock through to the cruising longboards from Globe. We also have a range of skate accessories from Globe for those that need to replace wheels or other parts of existing boards.

There are surf inspired cruiser and street boards from Quiksilver or Roxy.

Swim accessories

As the temperature drop the swimmers are in need of warm accessories like the Robie Dry Series to keep toastie warm while chatting with their fellow swimmers or while on the drive home post-swim.

We have plenty of neoprene accessories to protect the extremeties of the hard core swimmers who refuse to use a wetsuit; from hoods and Beanies to Gloves or Boots.

Those who need to keep their core warm can opt for a shortie wetsuit, neoprene shorts or tops amongst many other options. We also carry swim bouys to keep your swimmer visible from a distance with some including a dry bag section to keep their keys or phone on hand.
